The group „Elbe“ operated as reconnoitering line with the boats U 107, U 223, U 231, U 266, U 267, U 377, U 383, U 402, U 504, U 514, U 533, U 575, U 584, U 614, U 621, U 634 and U 650. She hadn’t contact to enemies or losses. Operation area BC/AJ/BC-CE/BD/BE. All boats without U 266 divide on the groups “Elbe I” and “Elbe II”. At May 6th went the boat by a depth-charge-hunting to a depth of 230 meters. This is the greatest depth that could be ascertained.
From 10.5. – 14.5.1943 operated U 575 with the group “Elbe I” as reconnoitering line. She hadn’t enemy contact or losses, too. Consists boats are U 231, U 267, U 468, U 514, U 525, U 533, U 569, U 575, U 584, U 614, U 634, U 650, U 709 and U 752. Operation area BE/BD-CE. Any boats earlier removed.
Finally U 575 was a part of the group “Mosel” from 19.5. – 24.5.43, who operated on the convoy HX.239, certainly without results. Certainly the group had two losses (U 569 and U 752) and two damaged boats (U 305 and U 468). After closing the group driving most of the boats to free hunting. “Mosel” consists the boats U 218, U 221, U 228, U 231, U264, U 305, U 336, U 378, U 468, U 552, U 558, U 569, U 575, U 603, U607, U 621, U 641, U 642, U 650, U 666 and U 752.
