The U-Boat U 575 was one of the famous Atlantic-boates type VII C. If we speak from the U-boats, we mean this type and we see this silhouette at our mind`s eyes. The commission was at Juni 1941 and it was sinking in March 1944 in its 10th operation. It wasn´t one of the famous U-Boats, it was one of the many workhorses of the U-Boat forces, without these workhorses there were not been these results. To belong to the famous boats, it came to late. From the beginning it sailed expecting heavy seas ahead and bloody fights. |
